Spring cleanup is tomorrow (Saturday, May 2) at Saddle Hills Park from 9-2. I will be there around 8:30 to meet the city inspector and make sure we are all set up. Then, I have family obligations, so Melinda will be in charge from 9-11. I will come check in around 11:30/noon. Julie is in charge from 11-2! We have a great scrap metal team there and this afternoon I confirmed an electronics recycler will be there to help as well! My cell is 308-750-7993 if you have any questions. If you volunteered to help, please report to the park at the time you said you could assist! Thank you! -Kelly

Hey neighbors! If you don’t know already, here is some info about the annual Spring Cleanup: it is hosted by the City of Omaha in multiple neighborhoods in the spring. People from all over the city can come to ANY Spring Cleanup location (which Saddle Hills is this weekend), and drop off their junk for free! As a registered location, we provide volunteers to help people deposit their unwanted junk into garbage trucks parks near the Saddle Hills Park. And of course it’s free and convenient for anyone living in Saddle Hills to take advantage of as well! We still need volunteers for this weekend. Please comment if you can help. Visit the website below to learn more about what you can bring to get rid of during the cleanup: https://www.wasteline.org/general-information/spring-cleanup/

Our cleanup site is May 2 from 9-2!

Spring cleanup is when Omaha residents can get rid of bulky items that don't fit in their cart. It's free and a joint effort between the City, Keep Omaha Beautiful inc., and the participating neighborhood organizations.

Attention: we currently need many more volunteers for this Saturday’s spring cleanup in Saddle Hills. Never helped before? It’s easy! Comment below if you can help. We currently need more people for morning (have no volunteers) and a couple extra for afternoon. Thank you!

Omaha Spring Cleanup starts soon! Omaha residents can dispose of bulky items at designated drop-off sites from 9am-2pm on the following Saturdays:

🟢 April 12
🟢 April 26
🟢 May 3
🟢 May 10
🟢 May 17

If you have large items like old furniture, mattresses, and other items not accepted through curbside waste services, now is your chance to clear them out – for free!
Each week, there will also be one designated site for accepting tires (with rims removed), one site for appliances, and a site for excess yard waste.

Visit the City’s website Cleanup.Wasteline.org to find locations near you and review the list of accepted items.
