🗳️ Today is the last day to register to vote online or by mail, in time for the 2026 Primary elections. Voting can make a tremendous difference in the lives of children and families across our state. Are you ready to help make a difference?

TODAY (Monday, April 27) is the deadline to register to vote or update registration information for the 2026 Statewide Primary Election using the following methods:
- online (prior to midnight)
- by U.S. Postal mail (postmarked today)
- deposited into an official ballot drop box (5 PM)
- at Omaha Public Library locations (5 PM)
- at DMV (while obtaining/updating your ID)
- via deputy registrar (6 PM)
- delivered to our office by someone other than the person registering (5 PM)

If voters miss today's deadline, they can still register in person at our office until 6 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026.

Thank you Senator Spivey for your leadership and commitment in advancing policy that creates economic prosperity for families in Nebraska!

Recently I was honored with the Holland 2026 Honor Roll Award from the Holland Children’s Movement.

I am filled with gratitude to be recognized alongside my colleagues who care deeply about kids and working families in Nebraska. This work is bigger than any one of us, and I’m thankful to be part of a community and fierce policymakers that keep showing up, speaking up, and creating change.

We did it! After two hours, the Legislature failed to end debate (cloture) on a budget that included private school vouchers – meaning that version has FAILED.

If your State Senator voted “No” or “Present Not Voting,” please thank them for standing with us by emailing them at www.nsea.org/EmailSenator.

Tomorrow, a voucher-free budget will be debated – let’s finish strong. If that version is approved, we can put this mess behind us. Thank you to everyone who spoke up – you made the difference.
