SummerWorks Omaha

SummerWorks Omaha SummerWorks Omaha began in 2011 in order to build and strengthen our greater Omaha community through summer employment for metropolitan high school youth.

SummerWorks Omaha is organized by the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Student Community Leadership and Service (SCLS) department and was designed for selected high school youth 15-18 years old who desire to earn an income through summer employment. During their experience, the youth learn important skills that can be used to secure future employment and encourage active citizenship in the Omaha

community. The youth learn about the world of work and gain skills through their work experience. The high school youth, team leaders, senior leads, and the lead team who participate in SummerWorks Omaha are employees of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
