ICYM: Recent public opinion reveals deep concerns about the direction of the state, proposed tax policies, and the cost of living.

In Partnership with OpenSky Policy Institute, we asked Nebraskans a series of questions, and a majority said they are worried about being able to afford health care, groceries, and other essentials.

These huge majorities represent Nebraska voices and must be considered as decisions are made during the State budget debate.

Beginning January 26, 2026, Nebraska families will have the opportunity to apply for the Nebraska refundable Child Care Tax Credit. The Nebraska Department of Revenue (NDOR) has announced that the online application portal for the refundable Child Care Tax Credit for parents and guardians will open on January 26.
