OMAWA is looking to fill 2 open spots on the OMAWA Dual Team for Huskerland (3rd–5th Grade)!

✅ We still need wrestlers at: 100 lbs and 130 lbs (2 of 13 weight classes still open)

🗓️ Tournament Date: Sunday, March 15, 2026
🏟️ Team Limit: 32 teams

⏰ Weigh-ins: Begin at 7:00 a.m.

All team members must weigh in together — no exceptions

2-pound allowance for all wrestlers

Following the NFHS Rules Book

🤼 Wrestling Starts: 8:00 a.m.
⚖️ Weight Classes: 13 total

📝 Interest Survey Deadline: Saturday, March 7, 2026 before 7:00 p.m.
💰 Dual team fees are paid for by OMAWA.

🚨 The Growth Is Real. And We’re Watching It Happen. 🚨

2026 marks the fifth year girls wrestling has been officially sanctioned in Nebraska and the numbers tell the story.

🔹 896 boys and 🔹448 girls qualified for the Nebraska State Wrestling Championships this year.

That doesn’t happen by accident.

It starts right here at events like the OMAWA Duals.

Coach Cameron from Fremont Wrestling Club said it best:
“More mat time equals wins.”
“Wrestling builds confidence — in every area of life.”
And that’s exactly what we’re seeing.

The more opportunities girls (& boys) get at the youth level…
The more teams we build…
The more dual competition we create…
