Camp CoHoLo

Camp CoHoLo Camp CoHoLo stands for Courage, Hope and Love. It was named by its campers, children with cancer or blood disorders. This all-volunteer camp is every July.

Camp CoHoLo is operated entirely by volunteers, including the camp director. Our overnight counselors are men and women who agree to spend four or five days at camp, sleeping in bunks at night and playing all day. It's a great escape from everyday life for both campers and counselors.

💛 This September, we're celebrating more childhood. More laughter. More memories. More hope.

For kids facing cancer and blood disorders, childhood shouldn't be defined by hospital rooms and treatments. At Camp CoHoLo, we create a place where kids can laugh, make friends, try new things, and most importantly just be kids.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, help us spread hope and remind these incredible kids: you are never alone. 💛

When you ask a camper what Camp CoHoLo means to them, the answers are always bigger than camp itself. We're so lucky to be a small part of their journey.💛

We're so gratefull to share this story from the Syracuse Journal-Democrat.🌟

Though Cooper Heier doesn’t remember much about his cancer journey because he was so young, the summer memories and friends he is making at Camp CoHoLo will last him a lifetime.

One of the greatest joys of Camp CoHoLo is watching our campers grow—and sometimes, come back to give the same love and encouragement they once received. 💛

Today's Kearney Hub features the inspiring story of one of our former campers who has returned to Camp CoHoLo as a counselor. It's a beautiful reminder of the lifelong impact camp can have and the incredible resilience of the children and young adults we serve.

If you're a Kearney Hub subscriber (or Omaha or Lincoln papers where its shared) we hope you'll take a moment to read the story and celebrate this amazing full-circle journey with us. Thank you to everyone who helps make stories like this possible—our volunteers, donors, families, and supporters.

At 6 years old, Molly Lambert promised she'd come back to Camp CoHoLo forever. Twenty-three summers later, she's keeping that promise. Now fiance Alan Varela joins her. ⤵️ Find a link to the story in the comments.
