This just in!! A new friend will be joining us this year at Camp YouCan! BLUE— a certified therapy dog and a snuggly member of the Busing (camp directors’) family!! ❤️

You’ll spot him around camp with his tail wagging, smelling flowers, and always longing for pets and hugs.

*Here are some fun facts about Blue:

Breed: Golden Retriever
Age: 2
Favorite TV show: “The Incredible Dr. Pol”
Loves: kids, rolling in grass, watching TV, sleeping, dancing, and chasing 🐿️ squirrels.
Favorite food: Ice 🧊
Nicknames: Bluey, Boo-boo, Tootsie

Check out these photos from some of the very first years of Camp YouCan! Over these last 15 years, camp has served more than 450 kids living with epilepsy--creating a space for friendship, confidence, memories, and opportunities for kids to see all that they CAN do despite their epilepsy!

These throwback photos highlight just a few of the special moments that have made it all so meaningful. Here's to 15 years of impact and many more ahead!

Nature is an integral part of Camp YouCan. Without the trees, kids wouldn’t be able to zoom across the zip line. Without the pond, campers couldn’t achieve the goal of capturing a fish. Without water, they wouldn’t be able to paddle across the lake together with new camp friends. Happy Earth Day from all of us at the Midwest YouCan Foundation ❤️🌻

Only 9 camper registration spots left! Not only will campers have a blast, but they will get the chance to meet the most kind, hilarious, patient, and talented adults who donate their time to making camp what it is: the camp counselors! They’re legends who race to unwrap a saran rap ball with socks over their hands; all while enduring pies in the face, and surprise slime attacks—all before lunch.

They run on caffeine, bug spray, and pure chaos. They generously share their time, talents, and sleep so that campers can see all that they CAN do💜☀️
