After 1,455 days in foster care, today this family gets to begin their forever together. 💙

“CASA gave our daughter a voice and someone who truly believed in her. They gave her someone she could count on, someone who listened to her, stood beside her, and made her feel heard and valued. Knowing that she had someone in her corner who genuinely cared about her made an immeasurable difference in her life and in ours. We will forever be grateful for the love, support, and advocacy Mollie gave our daughter.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the obituary of one of our very special NOVA foster parents, who recently passed away.

She was such a sweet, caring, and compassionate person, and we feel incredibly grateful that our paths crossed. She opened her heart and her home to help so many people and children, making a difference simply by being there, loving others, and providing a safe place when it was needed most.

We are all better for having known her. Her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others will not be forgotten. We are thankful for the love she shared with the children and families she touched and for the many ways she made our NOVA family better.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, loved ones, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her during this difficult time. 💙

Thank you for opening your heart and making a difference. You will be deeply missed.

Over the weekend, NOVA Foster Care was honored to be one of the Community Organizations of the Night at the Union Omaha soccer game! ⚽💙

We had a wonderful time connecting with families, sharing information about foster care, and talking about the many ways people can make a difference in the lives of Nebraska’s children.
