Yesterday, we enjoyed a refreshing treat from Gimme the Scoop Italian Ice Truck as a small thank-you to our incredible employees! 💙

It was a fun opportunity to cool off, enjoy some time together, and celebrate our amazing staff.

Today, we’re celebrating some incredible members of the Omaha Housing Authority team and their many years of dedicated service to our residents and community! 🏠❤️

👏 Gannie — 40 Years!
For four decades, Gannie has been a valued member of the OHA family, most recently serving as an inspector and bringing his knowledge, dedication, and commitment to his work every day. Forty years is an incredible milestone, and we are so grateful for all he has contributed over the years!

👏 Murphy — 20 Years!
Two decades of service is certainly something to celebrate! Thank you, Murphy, for 20 years of dedication, hard work, and being an important part of the OHA team.

👏 Yvette — 20+ Years!
Yvette has also dedicated more than 20 years to OHA, and we are incredibly grateful for the experience, commitment, and heart she has brought to our organization throughout the years.

These milestones represent more than just years on the job — they represent relationships built, residents served, challenges overcome, and countless contributions that have helped make OHA what it is today.

SNEAK PEEK!!! Exciting things are happening! Check out the renovated units at Pine Tower! These renovations began at the end of 2025, and the first units are completed and ready for occupancy! Renovations include fully renovated kitchens, bathrooms, and air conditioning, along with refreshed flooring, paint, and common areas.

Thanks to our partner, Brinshore Development, LLC, for leading the way, and to the countless contractors working to transform Pine Tower for those who call it home!

All Omaha Housing Authority offices will be closed on Thursday, July 2, for Employee Appreciation Day, and Friday, July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. 🎇

By combining Employee Appreciation Day with the holiday, we’re pleased to give our dedicated team a well-deserved four-day weekend as a small thank-you for their hard work and commitment to serving our community throughout the year. 🫶🏼
