Exciting GOATz board news!
Not long ago, we posted asking if any of you would be interested in applying to be on the GOATz 501c board. We're happy to say that we got some very good responses to that request!
This will be a combination thank you and welcome, as we have a few OG GOATz "retiring". I would like to recognize Jody Green, TJ Ernst and John Orr for the countless hours they have given to the board, the races and the community. Many things go unseen, and these three are great examples of being there for the team. Thank you for all you've done for the GOATz (and me)!
Not only were members voted on, but all offices as well.
It makes me super happy to announce:
President - Mindy Coolman
Vice President - Brady West
Treasurer - Joan Miller
Secretary - Karri Iten
In addition, Vanessa Urbach and Coleen Duda will continue their roles as board members. Everything I've said above applies to these 6 great people as well! GOATz is in good hands and these individuals will make sure you continue to get great races and a trail/community partner. I know they also have some fun new ideas coming up.
And without further delay, here are your new board members. You may not know all of them (yet), but there has already been a firm commitment to GOATz demonstrated by these individuals. This is just the group to help our veterans build GOATz even further. Please welcome Tyler Hawkins, Carrie McAdam, Abby Hiatt, Marty Ertz, Sara Jones, Jonathan Gombas and Tim Kruger!
Please give your support to this board. With our fantastic volunteers (you) and this team, 2026 into 2027 is set to be a great journey!
And lastly, I want to personally thank all of you for your support and friendship during my time on the board. I don't think any of us would have guessed way back at the start of the group that it would become what it has.
