The GOATz’s mission is to:

-Promote local trails and trail running.
-Grow the number of active trail runners in and around Omaha.
-Support other trail advocacy groups in the area through financial contributions and volunteer opportunities.
-Advocate for and encourage responsible use and upkeep of our trail systems.
-Be active in securing and developing wilderness areas for trail enjoyment.
-Produce a quality trail race or series in conjunction with other groups of similar interests.

We're hitting the trails — and this time, we're giving back to them. 🐐🌿

We've teamed up with Trails Have Our Respect to host an intro to corridor clearing at Tranquility Park, and we want our GOATZ crew there. The northern section of the park is open, so come get hands-on with the work that keeps our trails runnable — mowing, trimming, and everything that goes into a clean, clear corridor.

This isn't just a work day. It's an intro to the Trail Adoption Program (TAP) — a way to become an actual steward of the trails you run. You'll learn how to log hours, work as part of a team, and take real ownership of a section of trail in our community.
THOR will be there all morning walking you through tool safety, maintenance basics, and what to look for on your adopted section. No experience needed — just show up ready to move.

Our trails take care of us. Let's return the favor.

🎉 New Trails, New Adventures — Mandan Park Opens June 6th!

South Omaha is getting something special and we couldn’t be more excited to share it. Mandan Park’s brand new natural-surface trail system officially opens on Saturday, June 6th — and the community celebration is going to be one for the books.

Group rides, a youth skills zone, food trucks, live music, and trails built for everyone — riders, walkers, runners, and families of all ages. This one has been a long time coming and the THOR Trails team has put in the work to make it happen.

The Goatz will be hosting a group run at 10AM

Come celebrate, explore the new trails, and be part of what’s next for South Omaha’s outdoor spaces.
