Did you guys know May is mental health awareness month?

At the Owens Companies, we know that mental health is just as important as physical health. Every day, we work with children, parents, and families who may be facing challenges that are unseen by others…stress, anxiety, trauma, addiction, grief, or simply the overwhelming pressures of life.

Through all of the services we provide, we are reminded daily how important compassion, understanding, and support truly are.

Mental health struggles can affect anyone, and no one should feel alone in their journey. A kind word, a listening ear, and access to support services can make a life-changing difference.

This month, we encourage everyone to:
-Check in on loved ones
-Practice self-care
-Ask for help when needed
-Show grace and understanding to others

Together, we can help break the stigma surrounding mental health and continue building stronger, healthier families and communities.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms, grandmas, foster moms, guardians, and mother figures we are honored to work with every day. 💐

At our agency, we see the love, strength, sacrifice, and resilience that mothers pour into their children and families. Parenting is not always easy, and every step toward growth, healing, and connection deserves recognition.

Today, we celebrate the mothers who continue showing up, trying their best, and working toward brighter futures for their families. Your efforts matter, and your love makes a difference.

One of the youth in our Day Reporting Center gave Ms.Kiara this card today, and it meant more than words can explain. Watching the growth, trust, and connection being built every day is such a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

She has poured so much patience, guidance, and care into helping him grow, believe in himself, and see his own worth, and moments like this show just how much of a difference she is making.

We are so proud of the relationships being built in our DRC and the positive changes happening one day at a time!!

Last Thursday all of our staff, from each office, traveled to Columbus for an all staff meeting! We had a wonderful guest speaker and a wonderful time!
