We competed at the NIFA National SAFECON competition in Janesville, WI last week and finished in 10th place! Facing off against 30 other teams from around the United States, our hard work and dedication truly paid off. Huge thanks to everyone who supported us along the way. Onward and upward!

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Flying Mavs finished in 7th place at the 2023 National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference (SAFECON) which was held the week of May 8, 2023, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

In competition, events are split into two categories termed ground and flight. The top 20 competitors in each event are given points to go toward the national championship with 1st place getting 20 points and 20th place getting 1 point. This year we had many team members place in the top 20 in their events.

In the past couple weeks, we have been busy competing at the 2023 NIFA National Safecon in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This year we had one of our best performances in team history with a 7th place finish overall.

Twelve team members and three coaches traveled for competition and were able to represent the University of Nebraska Omaha well. Individual scores and other information will be posted with in the next week.

Thank you for the continued support! We wouldn't be able to travel and compete in competitions like this without it.
