Meet Emily, Instructional Designer at Fortis Healthcare Solutions, where she creates onboarding programs, training resources, LMS experiences, and performance support materials for teams across Nebraska, Arizona, and California.

What stands out about Emily isn't just her work, it's her why. She's passionate about creating structure out of complexity and designing learning that feels practical and empowering rather than overwhelming. That same energy shows up in her board work with ATD Nebraska, where she supports professional development and engagement initiatives for talent development professionals across the state. We're lucky to have her in this community!

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day and it's a great reminder that inclusive design isn't just a checkbox. It's how we make sure everyone has a seat at the table.

As talent development professionals, we have a real opportunity to shape learning experiences that work for all learners, regardless of ability, disability, or how they access information.

Take a moment today to ask: Is the learning I design accessible to everyone who needs it?
A few simple places to start:
📄 Check your documents for screen reader compatibility
🎨 Review color contrast in your presentations
🎥 Add captions to your videos
🗣️ Use plain, clear language in your content

Small changes can make a big difference and our learners notice when we take the time to get it right.
Let's keep building a learning community where everyone belongs.
