As people trekked to Omaha this week for the College World Series, we’re thrilled to share Mosaic’s mission there.

Mosaic was chosen as one of the eight organizations participating in the long tradition of “Flying Flags for Charity.” On Monday, June 15, we’ll be featured onstage under the Beer Garden tent in the Omaha Baseball Village (just outside the stadium) before the evening game. It’s a great opportunity to let more people learn about Mosaic’s incredible mission through a success story shared by the mother of twins Mosaic serves.

If you’re going to be at the CWS that day, make sure to stop by and say hello. (We have swag to give you, too!)

Meet our Winners: Stan for Grit.

"If you were to look up the word 'grit' in the dictionary, you should find a picture of Stan. With over 20 years of service at Mosaic, Stan has held various roles, yet his heart consistently draws him back to the front lines as a Direct Support Professional.

Stan’s impact is audible; you can hear it in the halls every day when individuals ask, 'Where’s Stan?' His connection with those he serves is rooted in a rare, deep-seated compassion. When someone is having their hardest day, Stan is the one who 'takes a knee,' leveling himself to ensure they feel seen, heard, and supported.

He is a man of action—the first to sprint toward a fall, the first to unload a wheelchair, and the first to offer his arm to someone struggling with their gait. Stan lives by a strict code of service: the individuals come first, his peers second, and himself last. He ensures that everyone he encounters knows, without a doubt, that they matter."

This week, we are offering congratulations to this year's Mosaic in Omaha One Mosaic Award winners!

Meet our Winners: Lilie for Belonging.

"It’s a rare person that comes into a new job or facility and fits in from day one. With the staff and consumers. It was so easy to forget she was NEW at Mosaic. She-with great attitude and ethic-threw herself into the job without blinking-taking on multiple high need consumers with grace and kindness. It's hard to believe she's only been four or five months-she seems like she's been here for years. Everyone she works with adores her, and never once have I heard the word no from her."

Just like a mosaic, Mosaic is made up of unique employees, each bringing their own talent, ideas, and personalities to the table. When we bring those pieces together, we create a beautiful, cohesive, and powerful picture.

That is exactly what the One Mosaic Award is all about—recognizing the incredible team members who champion a diverse environment and our organization's core values, which help unite us as one team.

This week, we are offering congratulations to this year's Mosaic in Omaha One Mosaic Award winners!

Meet our Winners: Nash for Connection.

"Since joining Day Services this year, Nash has been a transformative force. He doesn’t just provide 'supervision'; he champions true community inclusion. A standout example of his dedication occurred during a recent outing to the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and the Great Plains Black History Museum.

When Park Rangers mentioned a scavenger hunt program where participants could earn pins and backpacks, Nash didn’t just let it be a passing comment. He recognized the spark of excitement in the group and turned it into a mission. Over the following weeks, Nash went above and beyond to coordinate visits to various sites across Omaha, ensuring the group could maximize their participation.

The result was more than just a collection of pins; it was a profound sense of pride and achievement. The individuals were beaming, showing off their backpacks and eagerly narrating their adventures to anyone who would listen. Nash didn’t just take them on an outing; he gave them a sense of belonging and a goal to conquer."
