We had the best Memorial Day weekend at Stephen Center! From the delicious cookout prepared by our amazing kitchen team, to endless water balloon fights, to the Big O Sno truck serving shaved ice, there was so much joy shared all around.

But the most beautiful part? Hearing some of our HERO participants say they couldn’t believe how much fun they were having while being sober. That is what Stephen Center is all about.

When you donate or volunteer, this is exactly what your time and resources go toward... real moments of life-long healing, genuine connection, and absolute life change.

What an incredible evening at our 2026 Stories of Hope event!

This night was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with compassion, curiosity, and a shared desire to create change. We were blown away by the turnout, the engagement, and the support shown throughout the evening.

A heartfelt thank you to Matthew Desmond for such a thoughtful and powerful conversation. His insight gave us all so much to reflect on and learn from.

We are also incredibly grateful to every attendee, sponsor, donor, volunteer, and supporter who made this night possible. Together, we raised over $100,000 to support continued impact in our community!

Stories of Hope continues to be so much more than an event. It is a space for people to come together, ask deeper questions, and remember the importance of caring for one another. Thank you for being part of it!!!

Our Donations Manager, Laura, had the pleasure of visiting Laura Dodge Elementary for one of their student council meetings! This is what she had to say about her experience:

"Last week, I attended a student council meeting at Laura Dodge Elementary School. They collected coins throughout the year and voted to donate them to the Stephen Center. I shared the 40th Anniversary of Stephen Center YouTube video with the students and staff. We were all in tears! The students were so moved by the video. They raised a total of $1,000. I gifted them Stephen Center pens, notepads, and lanyards. They were so excited!"

How sweet! Thank you, Laura Dodge Elementary, for your leadership and support!

Kiddos from Spring Lake Elementary stopped by to leave some of the kindest notes for staff and clients! Not only are they so CUTE, they're also incredibly sweet and inspiring.

Soph said it best, "You are good. STAY good. You are beautiful. STAY beautiful. You are strong. STAY strong. No matter what people tell you, BE YOU!"

Thank you Spring Lake! 🧡💙

Our April 2026 Day Without Shoes event was incredibly successful and SO much fun!

We spent the day alongside Corner Husker Bank and St. Bernadette Church and School, one of our 62 partners, gathering shoes and stories from the littles!

With the help of all the kiddos showing up with tons of energy and excitement, we loaded over 400 pairs of shoes! The collective effort was so sweet!

We are deeply grateful for every partner who continues to move with us in this work. The impact this year is clear, and it’s only growing. We can't wait to see what next year looks like!

A video with the full impact numbers and stories will be shared next week. For now, here’s a glimpse of that day. View all the photos at the link below:
