Giving Tuesday is Here!!
Imagine a day without transportation. How would you get to work, school, or a doctor's appointment? If you have children, how would you take them to school or their extracurricular activities? If you volunteer, how would you reach those in need?
Now, imagine living every day with no way to travel independently.
For individuals who are blind or visually impaired, this is not just a hypothetical—it’s their daily reality. They face the constant challenge of relying on public transportation, others for rides, or expensive taxi and rideshare services to get where they need to go. For those already living on tight budgets, the financial burden of transportation insecurity is immense, adding another layer of stress to an already challenging life.
Share A Fare, Inc. has been addressing this critical need since 2008, offering subsidized transportation to more than 650 individuals in Omaha, Lincoln, and surrounding areas each year. Through our programs, we help individuals with visual impairments fully participate in employment, education, and community life—empowering them to live independently and engage meaningfully in their communities.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to be part of this important mission. Visit our website at: https://www.shareafare.rog and conveniently donate using PayPal: Your tax-deductible donation can make a tangible difference in the life of someone who relies on Share A Fare. Every dollar you give helps provide transportation options that make independence and opportunity possible for our participants.
Your support matters:
$25 can fund up to three rideshare rides, helping someone get to work or a medical appointment.
$50 can provide up to a week’s worth of transportation, ensuring access to daily activities and services.
$100 can support up to a month of transportation assistance, removing barriers and enabling full community participation.
Together, we can ensure that no one has to imagine going a day without the basic necessity of reliable transportation. Your generosity can change lives by offering the independence and mobility that many take for granted.
Thank you for considering a donation to Share A Fare, Inc. Your contribution, no matter the size, will help us continue to support blind and visually impaired individuals in their quest for independence and community involvement.
Warmly,
Lisa Johnson
