Trug Omaha Bringing uniquely designed modular planters and seating to streets in Omaha creating lively welcomin

Began through partnership among the Park East and Columbus Park neighborhoods, the City of Omaha, Emerging Terrain, and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce to enliven streets, create new places to sit and enjoy a neighborhood, and temporarily envision how streets could be improved with more attention to the pedestrian experience. In 2012 the Trugs occupied parallel parking spaces along downtown

Leavenworth Street from I-480 to 24th, and led to restriping of the corridor from 3 lanes of traffic to 2 lanes and a bike lane. In 2013, the Trugs are residing on South 10th Street between William and Pierce Streets. Take a stroll up South 10th Street from the Old Market, grab a coffee from the new Echo Coffeeshop, and enjoy the historic street from a Trug!
