It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of David Scott, a graduate of Leadership Omaha Class 34. David was also in the first cohort of LeadDIVERSITY, a leadership program powered by Inclusive Communities in partnership with the Greater Omaha Chamber, OPPD, and Tri-Faith Initiative.

David spent 30+ years in International Tourism & Hospitality and was committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. He found his passion sharing the benefits of training and employing individuals with disabilities in the Hospitality Industry - creating Project SEARCH at Embassy Suites in La Vista.

David made his dream come true of helping start up and manage a boutique hotel four years ago. Diversity, equity and inclusion remained a priority for him there as well.

The snow got in the way of Class 45's Education Seminar and so our good friends at Kids Can Community Center welcomed us for a re-do and tour of the beautiful new facility. Thank you Robert Patterson (LO 27), Cliff McEvoy (LO 38) and Josh Gillman (LO 43) for hosting us and many many thanks for your leadership in our community.
