Today, we celebrate an extraordinary woman whose commitment to Omaha can be seen in so many corners of our community. Dr. Viv Ewing serves as a Director of Downtown Omaha, Inc. and Project Chair of RiverFront First Fridays, helping bring together local businesses, artists, entrepreneurs, families, and community partners to create vibrant experiences in the heart of our city.

And that is only one part of the many endeavors and civic engagements through which Viv gives her time, energy, leadership, and heart to Omaha. Whether she is championing our community, supporting local organizations, encouraging others, or simply showing up where she is needed, she leads with warmth, generosity, and a genuine love for people. More importantly, Viv is a great Rotarian!

Tomorrow night (Tuesday, August 11) at 6:30 PM, the Omaha City Council will meet for a public hearing on the Recommended Budget for the Year 2027 and the Capital Improvement Program for Years 2027 – 2032.

The meeting will take place in the Legislative Chamber (second floor) of the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center | 1819 Farnam St. | Omaha, NE 68183.
