Update from SMG

As mowing season begins, we’d like to share a few important reminders. Regular mowing is scheduled for Thursdays, weather permitting.

Important Reminders:

Please ensure all pet waste is picked up before mowing day.

Remove any obstacles from your lawn prior to mowing.

The vendor is not responsible for damage to items left in the mower’s path.

Dear Standing Bear Village Residents,

To help prevent accidental damage during routine landscaping and maintenance, we kindly ask that all A/C units be properly protected with appropriate measures such as landscaping, a protective pad, or another suitable barrier.

Please note that if an A/C unit does not have adequate protection in place, our landscaping team will be unable to trim or service that area.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us avoid potential damage and unnecessary costs to the Vendors.

Standing Bear Village Fertilizer / Pre-Emergent

Good morning, everyone! >
Yard Market Nursery is headed our way next week! They plan to apply the first round of fertilizer on Tuesday or Wednesday, as long as the weather holds up.

Since the first two steps include pre-emergent, make sure to plan any grass seeding around these dates. Have a great week!

After application please wait at least 1 hour before children and pets are allowed on the grass.

If it is your year for paint you received a letter in mail about inspection results and if you choose to change colors please remember to complete you ACR request. SMG will provide updates to via the portal or contact the office if you need assistance.

We are pleased to inform you that your property is scheduled for exterior painting this year. This
work will take place beginning April 28 th , weather permitting.

Homes will be repainted in their existing color unless a paint change request (ACR) is submitted
and approved by the Board of Directors. To ensure our painters have the correct materials, all
ACRs for paint color changes must be received by our office no later than April 15th.

Please note that any approved color change will incur an additional fee, which the homeowner is
responsible for paying.

If your unit shares a roof with a neighboring home, both homeowners must agree on the color
change, and each must submit an ACR form to our office. If no ACR is received by April 15th,
your home will be painted in its current color.

Hello Neighbors, wanted to share an update regarding the clearing of the snow.
You probably know this was the biggest snow fall in the last 5 years and it snowed well into the early morning. You also probably know we are one of many HOAs that rely on contractors to clear our driveways and sidewalks.

That being said. The priority today was to get all driveways cleared so people can get in and out of their drives, that should be completed tonight. The second priority is clearing sidewalks and stoops. That is being done concurrently but by a different crew and should be done tomorrow. The third priority is the areas in front of mailboxes and detailing. Although its the county that sometimes blocks the mailboxes (unavoidable), we have our contractor dig them out. That should hopefully be done before mail delivery on Monday.

We are pushing to have everything completed sooner than what I stated above.

Like you, I'm anxious to see SBV all cleared out as soon as possible. Please give the crews grace, they have been working around the clock and do need to sleep.
