We had a fantastic time at our 2024 Annual Conference on Friday! A special thanks to Paul Weishapl, Allyson Rickertsen, and Jon Titus for sharing their expertise with us. We had three great speakers, tasty food, and gave away 15 raffle prizes to hard working individuals who joined us at the conference.

Congratulations to Peter Knutson of CEDARS for being named the NeAHSC Child Care Worker of the Year, Melissa Schaber of Boys Town for being named the NeAHSC Supervisor/Administrator of the Year, Tina & Jason Sempeck of Boys Town for being named the NeAHSC Foster Parents of the Year, and Douglas County Judge Chad Brown for being named the NeAHSC Distinguished Collaborator of the Year.

Thank you to our Gold Sponsors: Apex Family Care, Jenda Family Services, LLC, and Omaha Home for Boys and Silver Sponsors: CEDARS and the Nebraska Family Helpline.

‘Twas the night before our 2024 Annual Conference,
And all through the Durham Room, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The banners were hung by the stage with great care,
In hopes that our friends soon would gather there.

The attendees nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of breakfast danced in their heads.
With pastries and fruits, and coffee brewed strong,
A feast fit for champions to help us along.

At noon, a grand lunch would surely delight,
With flavors and dishes to savor each bite.
And as we all gather, excitement will rise,
With incredible raffle prizes, a wonderful surprise!

Four annual awards will be presented with pride,
Celebrating achievements we cherish inside.
With heartfelt applause, we’ll honor each name,
For the passion and effort that fuels our great flame.

Three fantastic speakers, each ready to share,
Their wisdom and stories, we’ll all be aware.
Eagerly waiting for knowledge to flow,
As we celebrate hard work and let our ideas grow.

So here’s to the laughter, the learning, the cheer,
With eighty dear friends, we’ll all be near.
For ‘tis not just a conference, but a day full of light,
As we join together this wonderful night!
