Mission: To support, preserve, create and enhance a clean, green, safe and active, competitive and thriving Downtown Omaha that attracts and retains businesses, employees, residents, and visitors. The boundaries of ODIDA encompass east-west from the Riverfront to 17th Street, and north-south from Leavenworth Street to Capitol Street, bumping up to Mike Fahey Street to include the CenturyLink.

This Friday, we're turning a Downtown alley into a party. 🎶🎨

Downtown Alley Alive is back, and this time it's also our 20th anniversary celebration. Join us Friday, Oct. 2, from 5–9 p.m. in the alley at Ika San | Ramen for:

🎸 Live music from Jason Hinze
🎨 Interactive art (make something of your own!)
📸 A selfie station
🍜 Drinks + bites from Ika San | Ramen
🥂 20th anniversary remarks from Executive Director Holly Barrett at 7 p.m.

📍 Alley between Jackson & Jones, 11th & 12th
☔ Rain or shine, the alley has a covered section

Free and open to all ages (21+ for alcohol). It's First Friday too, so make a night of the galleries before or after. (2026 First Fridays Art Walk in Downtown Omaha)

To everyone who spent a Sunday morning picking up Downtown this year: thank you. 💚

Sunday was our last Downtown Cleanup Day of the season. From April through September, volunteers met at 13th & Howard with gloves, bags and an hour to give, and together pulled 255 pounds of trash off Downtown's streets and sidewalks.

Thank you to Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. for supplying every cleanup, and to every volunteer who showed up, whether it was once or all six times.

20 years ago, ODIDA set out to make Downtown Omaha cleaner, greener, safer, and more active. This year, we're celebrating that milestone all year long — starting in an alley. 🎂

Downtown Alley Alive returns Friday, October 2, from 5–9 p.m. in a brand new spot next to Ika San | Ramen, as part of ODIDA's 20th anniversary celebration.

Omaha has a dedicated line for reporting non-emergency issues around the city, and it covers a lot of ground Downtown.

The City of Omaha - Mayor's Hotline handles things like:
-Potholes and curb damage
-Graffiti
-Illegal dumping and litter
-Abandoned vehicles
-Broken streetlights
-Sidewalk and sewer issues
-Homeless encampments — reports connect outreach teams to check in and help connect people to housing, shelter, and other resources

You can submit a report two ways:
-Online at OmahaHotline.com, where you can attach a photo and follow the status of your report
-By phone at 402-444-5555

The more people who report an issue, the more it stands out to the city as something to prioritize — so if you see it, say something. (For emergencies, always call 911.)
