Kalynn Stoner is a PhD Candidate at Gratz College, obtaining a doctoral degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. Her dissertation currently focuses on why bystanders collaborate with perpetrators and analyzes whether there are common reasons for their behavior across genocides. Randall White is joining us as our next speaker for the Race, Religion, and Social Justice Conference!

Randall White is a theatre-trained artist, civic practitioner, and arts advocate whose work explores the relationship between creativity, community, and democratic culture. Beginning as an actor, director, and solo performer, he became a nonprofit executive. 😊 Help Us Create a Spirit of Welcome at RRSJ 2026 💛

One of the most meaningful parts of the Race, Religion, and Social Justice Conference is the sense of hospitality, connection, and community people experience throughout the day.

We’re currently looking for volunteers to help welcome guests, support hospitality spaces, assist with registration, and help attendees navigate the Tri-Faith Commons during the conference on Thursday, June 11.

If you enjoy helping people feel comfortable, included, and cared for, we would love to have you on our volunteer team.

✨ No special experience needed — just a welcoming presence and a willingness to help.

Volunteers receive complimentary conference registration as our thank-you!

Carol Dougherty is our next speaker for the Race, Religion, and Social Justice Conference!

Carol Dougherty is a reader, writer, and Zen Buddhist priest. She spent her adult life working for non-profits in theatre/arts and human services. She lived as “the lilies in the field,” which led to some unusual turns in a path that never ran straight, or never was a path at all. After a law degree and decades of work, she completed an MDiv at Naropa University. Carol spent twelve-plus years living and working at San Francisco Zen Center where she ordained as a priest in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki. She has been a resident priest at Nebraska Zen Center.
