Big Red Rugby was started in 2017 and the program has quickly grown from a handful of kids to over 150 amazing players! Come play Rugby with Big Red Rugby!

We welcome girls and boys ages 5-18, no experience necessary. Come try out Omaha's only youth rugby program, Big Red Rugby! Children ages 5-14 learn the fundamentals of rugby in a safe, non-contact and contact rugby program here in Omaha! Visit BigRedRugby.com for more information.

What a way to celebrate rugby in Nebraska. 🏉

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Rugby Night in Nebraska 2026! We had a great night at The Arbor with players, families, coaches, supporters and friends from across the rugby community.

One of the highlights of the night was getting to recognize some pretty incredible people:

Congratulations to all of our award winners, and thank you for everything you’ve done for rugby in Nebraska!

We also want to thank everyone who sponsored the event, donated, participated in the silent auction or simply came out to spend the evening with us. Your support means a lot and helps us keep creating more opportunities for kids and adults to play this game.

There’s a lot we want to build for the future of rugby in Nebraska, including our vision for a rugby-focused, multi-sport athletic complex. We’re grateful to have so many people who believe in where this game can go.

A note to our athletes as we close this season tomorrow…

Thank you for trying this sport and coming back each week with a fierce fire in practice and at games. What a joy it is to watch teammates become friends who have gotten tougher and more confident together.

You all have SHOWED UP this season. You tackle hard and get right back up. You’ve proved just how strong you are as you’ve learned the game and pushed yourself, while doing it all with a smile on your face.

This is what makes Big Red Rugby so special. We play hard, have fun, find our people, and maybe even find a part of ourselves we didn’t know was there yet.

We are so proud of all of you and everything you’ve accomplished this season.

Let’s go make our last games count. 👊🏼

Our sponsors’ support helps us give kids the chance to play rugby by providing uniforms, equipment, and everything our athletes need to get out on the field. It also helps us take rugby beyond our own programs through PE teacher education, giving teachers the tools to introduce the sport to even more kids across Nebraska.

At the end of the day, it’s about making rugby more accessible and giving more young people the chance to experience the game.

Soaking up the last few weeks of in-season Bonding with our players and their families! 🏉
