The Salvation Army's mission is to meet the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of all people without discrimination. Help The Salvation Army kick off the Christmas season here in the Omaha metro! 🎄

Registering local families in need for Christmas assistance is the first step in our Christmas assistance programs. We're looking for volunteers ages 18+ to assist with computer-based registrations. Individuals and groups are welcome, and bilingual skills are a plus! Below is a list of the dates and locations where you can help us with this effort:

Our thanks to the management, staff, and patrons of the P**p Deck Bar (near 60th & Grover) for putting on a material-goods drive in support of flood-impacted residents of the nearby Karen Addition neighborhood. Household goods, cleaning supplies, and nonperishable food items were all collected by the establishment last week...and then given away to Karen Addition residents via a distribution event at a nearby school this week. Thank you, one and all!

Our thanks to everyone who participated in the 2026 Swing Fore Black Hills Cares golf fundraiser! This recent collaborative event with Black Hills Energy benefitted the Black Hills Cares energy assistance fund -- which helps support Salvation Army utility assistance programs across Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota. Nearly $20,000 was raised by this event, which took place at Woodland Hills Golf Course near Eagle, Nebraska. Special thanks to our friends at Black Hills Energy -- and all the event sponsors -- for making it happen!
