A few members of the Midwest Lampworkers Guild had the opportunity to present a $5000 check to Children's Nebraska for the Beads of Courage program. We are so grateful to work with this amazing hospital and team of health professionals who do such great work! Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, sponsored beads and bought raffle tickets this year - YOU made this possible!

This is our why! Thanks to all who purchased raffle tickets during the Midwest Lampworkers Guild show this month at the Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha! We raised over $1400 for Beads of Courage 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

It’s raffle time! All proceeds benefit Beads of Courage program at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center!

Come on down to the Hot Shops Art Center at 1301 Nicholas St in downtown Omaha, Nebraska!

Gallery is open daily. The drawing will be October 21st during our closing reception from 6-8 pm. Need not be present to win, but must coordinate pick up of your fabulous prize!

Today was a good day! We are honored to present Omaha’s Children’s Hospital and Medical Center with a $5,000 check to support the Beads of Courage program.

Thank you to those in our community who help support us by sponsoring a bead, making a donation, buying a raffle ticket, or attending an event supporting the service project of the Midwest Lampworkers Guild.

How cute is Hattie's 100 Day celebration of Beads of Courage.

We wish her all the best in her medical journey and are proud to support this wonderful arts-in-medicine program.

Meet Beads of Courage member Hattie! This brave little warrior was diagnosed with leukemia at just 9 months of age. She underwent chemotherapy, radiation and a bone marrow transplant, and started receiving beads from her very first day in the hospital.

Now in kindergarten, Hattie used her Beads of Courage for her 100th Day of School display. Her mom shares, "She counted out 100 beads and talked about the meaning of each with her class." She was also dressed as a 100-year-old lady! ❤️
