Parents, human trafficking doesn't always involve kidnapping. Traffickers often use manipulation, affection, gifts, and false promises to gain a child's trust. Sometimes, the person exploiting a child is someone they know and trust.

What parents need to know:

✔ Trafficking can happen in any community.
✔ Social media and gaming platforms can be used for grooming.
✔ Traffickers may pretend to be romantic partners or friends.
✔ Children may not recognize when they are being exploited.

Talk to your children. Know who they're communicating with. Teach them about healthy relationships and warning signs.

Most importantly, make sure they know they can come to you without fear or judgment. Awareness is important. Prevention starts with conversations.

We had the joy of welcoming two young ladies into our Clothed in Grace Boutique at Innocence Freed! 💜 They spent time shopping and picking out some beautiful clothing, shoes, jewelry, and other items to take home.

What may seem like a simple shopping trip means so much more. It's about giving young ladies the opportunity to choose things they love, feel valued, and know they matter. We are so thankful for everyone who donates to our boutique and helps make moments like these possible! 💙

Busy morning for Innocence Freed! We spent time talking with the girls at the Douglas County Youth Center, then attended their Career Fair and connected with some great organizations and businesses.

We’re thankful for these connections and the opportunity to work together to better serve youth and adult survivors in our community! 💜 We’re always building our resources because survivors need a community of support to help them move forward.

Human trafficking targets teens through online grooming, fake job offers, and manipulation. Watch for warning signs like secretive behavior or new relationships. Prevent it by teaching teens to be cautious online, use privacy settings, trust their instincts, and always tell a trusted adult if something feels off. Protect futures, stay informed, stay connected.
