Innocence Freed

Innocence Freed By providing a safe haven and comprehensive restorative care, we strive to honor God and uphold the dignity of every survivor we serve.

A faith-based nonprofit dedicated to providing shelter, healing, & hope to survivors of sexual exploitation and human trafficking through comprehensive, trauma-informed care, mentorship, & support services.

*Subscriber Hub payments are not tax-deductible Our vision is rooted in a deep commitment to faith and compassion, aiming to transform the lives of adult and child victims of human trafficking

and sexual exploitation. Our Philosophy:
Human trafficking is a complex issue. Anti-trafficking efforts must uphold best practices to ensure the highest level of prevention education and care for victims and survivors. For that reason, Innocence Freed supports the following philosophy regarding prevention, awareness, advocacy, intervention, safety, protection, and restoration efforts. Our Core Values:
Collaboration – We believe that the fight to end human trafficking must be approached collaboratively through community awareness, multidisciplinary team efforts, and holistic restoration. Integrity & Transparency – As experts and leaders in the fight to end exploitation and human trafficking, we believe in organizational transparency for our stakeholders and strategic stewardship. Empowerment – We believe in a culture of healthy empowerment for our team, our partners, and those we serve. God-Centered – Centering our program around Christ shows a commitment to providing holistic support that addresses the spiritual as well as the physical and emotional needs of survivors. Faith-based approaches can provide comfort, hope, and a sense of purpose for survivors as they navigate their journey of healing and restoration.

This year’s Rise Up Gala will include a very special moment. 💙 Innocence Freed will be honoring champions in the fight against human trafficking, individuals whose dedication, sacrifice, leadership, and commitment have made a meaningful difference in protecting the vulnerable and standing for justice. Some serve on the front lines. Others use their leadership, resources, and influence to strengthen the fight. Each has demonstrated what it means to step up and take action. 👮‍♂️

We are honored to recognize them at the 2026 Rise Up Gala.
You don’t want to miss this special evening.

When you want to learn about human trafficking and sexual exploitation, consider where your information is coming from.

Look for education that is grounded in real experience, credible training, survivor-informed practices, and a strong understanding of the complexities surrounding trafficking and exploitation.

Good intentions matter, but accuracy matters too.

Misinformation can reinforce myths, create unnecessary fear, and ultimately hurt the very people we are trying to protect.

Ask questions. Look at experience. Seek credible sources. And choose opportunities to learn from those who have spent time truly understanding this work.

Awareness matters. Credibility matters. Accurate awareness matters even more.

Before calling a teenage girl “troubled,” ask what happened to her. Anger, running away, substance use, defiance, or sudden changes in behavior can sometimes be signs of trauma, grooming, or exploitation.

Our girls need safe adults willing to look beneath the behavior. Less judgment. More understanding. More protection.

Your son or daughter doesn’t have to leave their bedroom to be targeted by a trafficker. Social media, gaming platforms, messaging apps, and private chats have given predators unprecedented access to young people.

Grooming can begin with something that feels completely harmless:

“You’re so pretty.”
“You seem mature for your age.”
“Your parents don’t understand you.”
“You can trust me.”

Then boundaries are slowly crossed. Personal information is gathered. Sexual images may be requested. Secrecy is encouraged. Eventually, manipulation, threats, blackmail, or exploitation can follow.

Talk to your teens about grooming, sextortion, sexual exploitation, and online boundaries before someone else starts the conversation for you.

💜 We are so grateful to Julie McCabe for generously donating beautiful Red Aspen goodie bags for the women and girls we serve at Innocence Freed.

Something as simple as receiving a special gift can remind a survivor that she is seen, valued, and worthy of being cared for. Julie, thank you for using your generosity to bring a little extra joy and encouragement to the women and girls we walk alongside. We appreciate you and your heart for survivors! 💜
