Way to go, Emirson! 10 years of Popcorn!

Weekend 2 of the 2026 Popcorn Campaign rolls on with Emirson from Troop 492B! 🍿

Emirson has been putting his popcorn sales to work since 2016, when he sold $1,092 as a Lion during the pilot program. Since then, his family hasn’t had to pay a dime out of pocket for his Scouting journey. Popcorn has helped fund it all.

Other than his first year and last year, Emirson has sold more than $3,000 every year. Now a Star Scout, he’s back at it with a great sales pitch and big goals: raising money for Philmont in 2028 and Camp Cedars in 2027.

That’s the power of popcorn! 🌽

Family Fun Night is next Tuesday!

Join us Tuesday, 8/25 from 5-7PM at the Durham Scout Center for an evening of fun for the whole family. We’ll have BB guns, archery, raingutter regatta, crafts, face painting, snow cones, and more!

More funds are available to help get Scouts to camp! These funds can be used for day camps, Camp Cedars, or Camp Amikaro.

Earlier this week, our Campership Committee met and awarded over $18,000 in financial assistance to MAC Scouts to attend a summer camp opportunity this summer with 77 Scouts receiving assistance to attend Camp Cedars. A huge thank you to all of our donors and committee members that help make this program happen!

We are excited to announce that we have received additional funding to help MAC Scouts attend camp this summer! This funding is open to all MAC youth to apply, regardless of financial need, and must be used this summer at Camp Cedars, Camp Amikaro, or a Cub Scout summer day camp.
