On March 20, Bland Cares teamed up with UNO Beta Alpha Psi students for a Habitat for Humanity of Omaha project. From start to finish, it was a day full of teamwork, service, and a shared commitment to giving back.

We're proud to shine a light on Firefly, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children and families thrive from the very beginning. Firefly supports families through early childhood education, public health, home visiting, and literacy programs—ensuring kids are healthy, supported, and ready for school by age 5.

Led by Executive Director Kimberly Kolakowski, Firefly is strengthening families and building brighter futures across Western Iowa—one child, one family, one community at a time. We’re especially proud that a member of the Bland team serves on the Board of Directors, supporting this important mission.

🎁💙 Holiday Giving in Action

Through our holiday diaper drive, we partnered with the Nebraska Diaper Bank to help provide essential support for families across our community. Together, we collected 2,500 diapers and contributed an additional $2,500 through the Bland Cares Foundation, helping families stay covered this holiday season.

📦 Lending a Helping Hand with the Center for Immigrant and Refugee Advancement! 🏡

Today, our team had the privilege of volunteering to help set up a home for a newly arriving family. We spent the day moving in and organizing their new apartment, making sure everything is ready for their arrival in just a few days!

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to support such an important cause and help make this transition a little easier for the family. A big thank you to the Center for Immigrant and Refugee Advancement for the work they do! 💛
