While I was at Gothicon last weekend I got a lot of really good questions regarding safe practices for kink and B**M.
I'm always happy to help field any questions, but anything more than general questions regarding these topics aren't necessarily my wheelhouse.
So, I got with our friends at Temple Scarlet for advice of some good resources to help anyone interested safely and correctly practice kink and B**M.
To start, I highly recommend that you check out the Temple Scarlet resources 'Print outs and more' section of their website.
There you will find B**M and kink play worksheets for you and your partner(s) to explore.
These are a good way to make sure that you are on the same page as to what is is expected before, during and after your encounter.
Temple Scarlet recommended the following to educate yourself and explore safe practices:
A book called Existential Kink by Carolyn Elliott.
A comic series called 'Sunstone' by Stephen Sejic
As well as Kinky Karrot which has Illustrated tools for intimacy exploration, curiosity & playful self-discovery, a creative love brand for playful s*x education with style, humor and consent.
I love that everyone that I spoke to about B**M and kink were wanting to make sure that they were doing things correctly for all parties involved.
I hope these suggestions help and I highly suggest that you check out Temple Scarlet!
They are based out of Kansas City and hold Fall and Spring retreats.
I will put the links to Temple Scarlet and the other suggestions in the comments.
I will also be making them available on the helpful resources part of our website.
There is nothing wrong with exploring B**M and kink so long as it is done safely and consensually!
