EADAN's Mission is to provide service and support to refugees and immigrants, promote awareness and advocacy for quality, inclusive service as well as for a community place and spaces that are welcoming to refugees and immigrant children and their fa
milies. Our objective is to provide services that will build stronger and more diverse communities; we accomplish this by facilitating the social and emotional adjustment and cultural transitions of the refugee and immigrants throughout the City of Omaha. Vision
To be the Leading Non-profit Organization that provides opportunities for the vulnerable members of the community through advocacy, provision of platforms for both men, women and youths to have a say, and be involved in socio-economic activities affecting their lives. EADAN has established trust through their consistent and flexible presence among community members. EADAN is offering services, fostering trust, building connections, and ensuring that members of the community are no longer invisible and vulnerable. Low-income families from East Africa as well other refugee and immigrant communities. Our services include a food pantry, job search/placements, unemployment benefit and rental assistance programs, mentoring and tutoring programs, and youth counseling and mental health related programs. -Together with Nonprofit providers shelter in Omaha and works closely. EADAN provides support to vulnerable families struggling to pay their rent. Through strong connections to community, they have built the trust necessary for
families to seek out assistance when they are at risk of homelessness. This
collaboration to provide a safety net has allowed EADAN to assist more than 50
families with rental assistance during distressing times.
