Neighbors — thank you to those of you who were able to support the Small Business Pop-Up! It was great to see the community come together in support of local businesses.

A couple of reminders for this coming weekend:

🧹 Fall Neighborhood Cleanup & Donation Drive
• When: Saturday, Oct. 24th from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Where: Mary Our Queen School, West Parking Strip (3405 S. 119th St.)
• Details: We are actively seeking volunteers to support this event! The Heartland Integration Center will also be on-site collecting items for donation.

📢📢📢 UPDATE 📢📢📢: we are in need of volunteers to help staff this event. If you have any availability to support, for any amount of time we would greatly appreciate your assistance. As it stands now, we are concerned about throughput and long lines developing due to being short staffed. Please reach out on FB, to a board member, or via email at [email protected]

Neighbors, the Pop-Up is open! Come on over to the Prairie Lane Christian Reformed Church (3111 S 119th St) to visit with the neighborhood businesses who’ve set up tables and enjoy some pulled pork, chips, coleslaw, and lemonade!

Neighbors - we’re excited to host our first PLNA Small Business Pop-Up Event tomorrow, Tuesday Oct 13th and hope you’ll join us! Come for the community building and stay for the provided dinner along with our 26-27 PLNA board elections.

Neighbors - as the holiday weekend comes to a close, the PLNA Board wants to express our gratitude and appreciation for everyone’s participation in the parade this year! Thanks to everyone for coming together as a community to make the event a great success.

Special thanks to our first responders who led the parade, to Street Eats Food Truck for providing pastries, to the Prairie Lane Pool lifeguards for judging our “most patriotic” competition, and to the Omaha Community Foundation who provided the grant funds to sponsor:
* our treats from Típico Helado
* the ice and water
* the bubbles and chalk activities
* the gift card prizes for our “most patriotic” winners

The board looks forward to hosting the event next year and hopes to see you at our fall neighborhood meeting and/or at the fall cleanup - look for more details on both events in the coming months!

1000 Pledge/ Parade Start
1010 Popsicles from Tipico Helado & Treats available from Street Eats Food Truck
1010 Sidewalk Chalk & Bubbles available
1030 Costume Contest with prizes for the most patriotic: family, child, & pet judged by the participating firefighters
1100 Pool opens

Reminder - the Spring Cleanup is tomorrow, May 16th.

Prairie Lane will once again serve as a collection site for the City of Omaha's Spring Cleanup program. Details are below!

Saturday, May 16th
9:00am-2:00pm
Mary Our Queen School, west parking strip
3405 S. 119th Street

We will not be accepting appliances/metal recycling, which was the biggest contributor to long waits in the past. We hope that this change will continue to reduce lines and expedite the drop-off process.

Want to volunteer to keep the lines running smoothly? Contact the PLNA board at [email protected]. There is no obligation to volunteer for the whole event and we will sign for service hours!

Vehicles should enter off of westbound Prairie View Drive, turning north (right) onto 119th Street to prevent back-ups onto 120th St.

Neighbors, it's almost that time - our Prairie Lane Spring Cleanup on May 16th at the Mary Our Queen West Parking Strip from 9a-2p is approaching quickly!

We welcome any volunteers who would like to help facilitate the cleanup, from directing traffic, collecting donations, to helping unload into the collection trucks - all are welcome! Volunteers are not required to stay for the whole event, and we welcome any time you're able to give.
