What better way to wrap up the semester and kick off May as National Speech-Language-Hearing Month than by reflecting on our “why”?

At our last University of Nebraska at Omaha Collegiate Sertoma meeting for the spring semester, members made signs for National Speech-Language-Hearing Month highlighting why we want to become an audiologist or speech-language pathologist.

From personal experiences to future goals, every message captured the impact we hope to have in this field. A perfect way to celebrate the end of the year and look ahead to what’s next

Join us on May 2, 2026 from 1-4pm at ASN Fun & Resource Fest. You can help us thank UNO NSSLHA Students for sponsoring at the Advocate Level and providing the majority of the volunteers needed for this event.
The event is FREE. Pre-registration is recommended but not required. Walk ins welcome.
We will have Bounce Houses, Face Painting, Games, Crafts and MORE!

We are proud to support pre-professional opportunities for our University of Nebraska at Omaha Collegiate Sertoma Club. Second-year graduate student class representative Mikayla Myers and chapter vice president Grace Johnson recently presented at the NE ASD Network conference.

Our club leaders are building real-world skills in communication, teamwork, and professionalism that will carry them far beyond campus. It’s inspiring to see their dedication to personal growth and their commitment to creating meaningful experiences for others 🌟

Claire Coulter, our University of Nebraska at Omaha Collegiate Sertoma Club treasurer, presented her UNO Honors Program project titled "Exploring Audiology Practice Settings and Interprofessional Collaboration in Healthcare" at our April Member Meeting.
