Did you know Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands also offers a summer day camp?

Camp Nakomis is an action‑packed summer adventure created for youth ages 6–14 from the Omaha metro and Council Bluffs communities.⛺️

Each week brings a brand‑new theme filled with outdoor excitement, creative challenges and hands‑on fun that keeps campers engaged from start to finish. Kids spend their days canoeing, swimming, fishing, trying archery, riding pontoon boats, racing down epic slip‑and‑slides, jumping in bounce houses, heading out on field trips and tackling exciting group activities.

Whether campers join for one week or all seven, Camp Nakomis offers a safe, supportive environment where friendships grow, confidence builds and unforgettable summer memories are made.🌟

Skinner Boys & Girls Club members enjoyed the outdoors yesterday at the Gene Leahy Mall playing capture the flag in the playground complex area, sliding down the big slides and rolling and running down the grass hill! Lets just say our members had good time in the sunshine 🌞 accompanied by Mount View Boys & Girls Club that enjoyed racing our program specialist Mr. Don up and down the grass hill‼️

As we head into the last few days of Lalilo and Math Fact Lab the Skinner Boys & Girls Club members are working hard and keeping focus on hitting their goal for the year! Looking forward to goal party 🥳 when they hit their goals!!

Skinner Boys & Girls Club kindergarten and first graders participated in literacy activity letter site word matching, where they were spilt in two groups, one member arrange the letters and the other members helped found the letters as a team, the members had so much fun with this literacy Activity!!! They were able to problem solve and coordinate the letters into words, with the assist and guidance of the
K/1st grade teacher Ms. Sheena!!

The 5th/6th grade kickball teams of Skinner vs CB Boys & Girls Club!!! Last night both teams played a very competitive game while having fun with their peers and finally with some beautiful weather, the teams were able to enjoy while using their competitive skills‼️

The Skinner Boys & Girls Club 4th and 5th grade boys are enjoying literacy activity of read and feed as they write about what they looking forward to the most over the summer, they gave some great insightful ideas and intriguing activities that they will partake in as they navigate through the summer! Also, 4/5th grade boys discuss effective ways of communicating weather it verbally or non-verbally as their smart moves core session activity, each member lined up to give their ideas and discussed as group the difference between the two!!!

Let's give a huge congratulations to our BIG Skinner Boys & Girls Club members that participated in our 2026 annual talent show and shout out to our members Knight Sheffield- the Shadow rapper and our Pretty Lil Trio - Bray'Lynn Reeves, Elana Mosley and Kivailah Brown-Rodgers ❤️ for winning first and second place‼️ We're are so proud of you guys 👏🏾the hardwork, the effort these members put in each week to have one of the best performances!
