Harrison's Playmakers Omaha hosted a Back-to-School "Shop with a Jets Jock" event on Wednesday, 7/22/26. This year, we welcomed 200 Playmaker Pups—double the number from last year—thanks in part to the generosity of the Target store in K Plaza Omaha, which helped financially support our foundation! They also gave each shopper a “Squishie” and a wall poster to take home.
Our Pay it Forward partner was the KETV 7 Can Help Salvation Army Back to School Backpack Program, and our members truly stepped up with their donations! We even included below a photo of the cart packed with boxes we filled—twice! A couple of Playmaker Pups forgot their donations at home but used the gift cards we gave them to buy school supplies on the spot. KETV and the Salvation Army were there to share in the joy Harrison’s Playmakers feel when “giving back” to the community!
Harrison was there to help our members shop for school supplies—or whatever else they wanted—and to offer encouraging words to help them overcome any negative perceptions they may have had about themselves.
