A Heartfelt Thank You to the Benson Foundation
To the Benson Foundation and everyone who worked so hard to make the 100-Year Anniversary of Benson High School such an incredible celebration:
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Celebrating 100 years of Benson High School is about so much more than celebrating a building. It is about celebrating generations of students, teachers, coaches, staff, families, friendships, traditions, memories, and a community that has proudly called Benson home.
The time, energy, planning, and dedication that went into bringing this historic celebration together did not go unnoticed. The Benson Foundation did a fabulous job honoring our school and giving all of us the opportunity to celebrate Benson High School in all its glory.
For so many of us, walking through those doors again brought back memories we hadn’t thought about in years—the hallways, classrooms, games, dances, friendships, laughter, teachers who made a difference, and the people who helped shape who we became.
For 100 years, Benson High School has been more than a school in Omaha. It has been a place where lives began new chapters, lifelong friendships were created, and generations learned what it means to have Benson pride.
To every person who attended meetings, made phone calls, organized events, decorated, reached out to alumni, handled the countless details behind the scenes, volunteered their time, and helped make this milestone something we will remember—THANK YOU.
You didn’t simply plan an anniversary.
You brought generations of Benson Bunnies back together.
You reminded us where we came from. You gave us a chance to reconnect, remember those who came before us, celebrate those who are here today, and look forward to the generations of Bunnies who will walk those halls tomorrow.
100 years. Thousands of graduates. Countless memories. One Benson family.
Congratulations to Benson High School on 100 incredible years, and a huge heartfelt thank you to the Benson Foundation for giving this historic milestone the celebration it deserved.
