Memorial Day is a time to remember the brave women and men who gave their lives in service to the United States. This month, we pause to recognize the women who answered the call of duty, served with courage, and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
From nurses and support personnel to pilots, soldiers, sailors, and leaders, women have long played a vital role in defending our nation. Their legacy reminds us that service, sacrifice, and leadership knows no gender.
We honor their memory by living with gratitude, purpose, and commitment to building stronger communities.

Last weekend Room for Roots celebrated National Financial Literacy Month by participating in our First Annual Family, Fun, and Finance event! 25 children and their families enjoyed playing games, winning prizes, and engaging in healthy conversations based around the four pillars of financial literacy. There’s no better way to change your financial family tree for generations than to discuss credit and debt, budgeting, saving and investing at young ages to build health financial perspectives and habits. Thank you to all our volunteers for making this event a success!
