Omaha VFD has been a little busy this week. Not only do we run calls but we are all about community involvement, and teaching the future generations. Our little Brahmas did a community service field trip and Omaha VFD met them at the park to let them spray a little water and learn all the things about the fire trucks. I’m not sure who had more fun… the firefighters or the kids.

Thank you to everyone who came out. Omaha VFD hosted our first annual National Night out at the city park with hot dogs, popcorn and movie night. We had a fantastic turn out, watching the kids play, the adults socializing and laughter throughout the park was what it was all about after all. We want to thank Naples and Rocky Branch VFD’s for joining us for such a fun night.

Drop a 🚒 in the comments if you would like to see another movie in the park. On a non school night of coarse.

🔥🚒 EXCITING NEWS FOR OMAHA VFD! 🚒🔥

Omaha Volunteer Fire and Rescue is excited to announce that a Fire Prevention Kit grant we applied for through the Texas A&M Forest Service has been awarded to our department! ❤️

The kit includes fire and wildfire prevention educational materials, activities, and giveaways that we’ll be able to use when visiting our schools and at community events.

We are extremely grateful to the Texas A&M Forest Service for providing grant opportunities like this to volunteer fire departments. These resources help us educate our children and community about fire safety and prevention—at no cost to our department.

🌲🔥 Thank you, Texas A&M Forest Service, for investing in fire prevention and supporting Omaha VFD!

🚨 BURN BAN 🚨 🚫🔥

yes we got rain

YES WE ARE STILL UNDER A BURN BAN!!

🚫 🔥

09/30/2026

We are still under a burn ban!! Please refrain from any outdoor burning.

Winds will be increasing out of the south today, gusting to around 20 to 25 mph at times. This, combined with low relative humidity and dry fuels will make for favorable conditions for fire starts and spreads.

Last week to get your orders in!! Don’t miss out! Message the fire dept on fb to order.
