The only way we can get period products to the people who need them most is through communities who care! Thanks to Dawson Public Power District employees for ensuring that no one in Lexington has to miss out on life because they lack access to period supplies.

Dawson Public Power District employees recently teamed up for a personal care drive to support students at Lexington High School. Our team gathered a variety of essential hygiene and laundry items to ensure local students have access to the basic necessities that many of us often take for granted.

We are also grateful to Access Period for their generous donation of feminine hygiene products, which were delivered alongside our contributions to help support student wellness.

A huge thank you to our employees for their generosity and to the team at Access Period for partnering with us to give back to our community.

Benjamin is a young Access Period volunteer who is on his way to being named a Jr. Ranger! He's been described as, "STEM-minded, nature focused, inquisitive, enthusiastic, and empathetic." We couldn't agree more! You can help Benjamin win $20,000 for college by voting for him here:

Benjamin Is The Epitome Of An Explorer In All Kinds Of Ways - He Is STEM-minded, Nature-focused, Inquisitive, Enthusiastic, And Empathetic.

Justice and dignity for all. Period.

For the fourth year in a row, we partnered with Access Period for our annual Period Product Drive.

Since 2022, Access Period has distributed more than 4.2 million free period products to Nebraskans. Each day, thousands of products are distributed across the state through more than 70 nonprofit partners, 150 schools, and 11 public Access Points open to anyone who needs them.

Over the course of the drive, we collected donated products from clients, colleagues, and members of our community.

Separately, our team participated in a packing party last week, assembling kits that will be distributed statewide through Access Period.

As a firm founded, led, and run by women, this work matters to us. We see how important it is that people have what they need to move through their daily lives with dignity. Supporting this work is one way to help close that gap and ensure people can participate fully in their families, their work, and their communities. During Women’s History Month, it also feels especially important to recognize and support efforts that continue to expand access, care, and opportunity in real, everyday ways.

You probably won’t be standing in the cereal aisle when someone has to choose between buying food or period products. But one in three low-income women in the U.S. faces that choice regularly.

Period products aren’t covered by SNAP or WIC, which means this decision happens every day in grocery stores across Nebraska. You won’t see it happen, but you can still help.

The easiest way? Join The Period Party for $10/month. That’s enough to cover two periods for someone who would otherwise have to make this impossible choice. Access Period connects your support to people who need it most, ensuring they can get both groceries and period products.

Help us make sure no one has to choose. www.accessperiod.com/theparty

Our penpals turned into IRL pals! When we received a letter from Kailyn as part of a student project, we couldn’t wait to respond and invite her to The Pad! We had an awesome afternoon with Kailyn and BFF Bristol talking menstrual equity and how students can end period poverty.

Today is International Women’s Day, and thanks to daylight saving time, we’re celebrating with one fewer hour than usual. Classic.

Women have always been asked to do more with less. Less support, less access, fewer resources.

That’s still the world we live in, and Access Period exists to change it. We are working toward a future where women, femmes, and allies have what they need to fully participate in life. And when that’s true, everyone wins.
