Starting August 9th of 2026 we had weekly dumping of apples and peaches in the park. We have seen this activity for the last decade and it always coincides with poaching activities. We've picked them up every time and reported it to city officials but have yet to hear anything back. Note that it is illegal to dump fruits and vegetables on public grounds in the city of Omaha. We've also seen an uptick in the use of snares by poachers this year.
