Having achieved that, our people would be able to do the right thing! Therefore, let us seek the truth, and the truth will set us free, as the Scriptures says. Only then shall we attain wisdom and understanding among ourselves!

Remembering and Upholding The Legacy Of My Father

My father was a veteran of the Anya Nya 1. He used to talk about their struggles in those days.

I will always remember and uphold the legacy of my father, Akol Anei Akol (aka AkolMayom). My father left a great impact on my life. My father was a man who had an unwavering courage and great love for his people ❤️! He had always put the needs of others first.

My father was known as a man who never took revenge against anyone .

In fact, my father nicknamed himself as Akol-luuric! Meaning, no matter what anyone said or did to him, he would still come back whenever the same person who wrongs him would be in need of his assistance.

That is what it means to care for others and to leave a lasting impact behind. I will always remember my father's commitment to upholding the unity of his father's family members together until his passing away in 2020!

I will always miss my father! I wish I could have spent more time with you, Dad! But that was not possible in Sudan due to unending problems that took me and many other young people to the bush at a very young age!

I am sure that my father and many others who left this world after witnessing our long-awaited freedom would not believe that we are still struggling for power and fighting among ourselves!

May the God of our ancestors continue to bless us and grant my father, and all those men and women who have taught us the true meaning of love and values of human life, everlasting rest and peace in integrity 🙏!

What Has Gone Wrong With Our Reasoning in the Republic of South Sudan & The Sudan?

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly has gone wrong with human beings? And particularly, we the people of South Sudan, the Sudanese people in general, and the whole humanity at large.

Who should we blame for our inhumane mistakes?

We are quick to kill and destroy what we did not create, just because of indifferences fueled by hatred and politics!

Instead of seeking dialogue and mutual understanding, we rush to war,and then, after major losses of both human lives and properties, we think of peace talks just to buy time for the opportunists to get whatever they want and forget about the injustices done to the innocent lives!

When are we ever going to be civilized?

We are proud to use things that are being made by the citizens whose nations are advanced and civilized.

Yet we are destroying ourselves with the weapons we don't even make ourselves! What exactly has gone wrong with our thinking, my fellow South Sudanese?

Please take time to read and share this message. Because these questions are not just for the sake of chit chatting on social media or like any other mere questions; they are questions that we all have to try to find answers for, so that we can be able to think for ourselves, and work together for the sake of our nation, and people!

We have to remember this fact, no one else is going to come from anywhere on this planet, not even from heaven or from the grave, to get things done right for us, except by ourselves! We have to change our way of life, because it is not taking us anywhere!

How Long Shall We Continue to Live Like This?

Oh God, Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of all living, how long shall the blood of the innocent lives of your children continue to pour down day and night?

How long shall we remain ignorant, confused, and heartless ?
How long shall we remain living a barbarian life and deprive our fellow brothers and sisters of their God's given life on this planet?

Dear all, I hope this piece of writing reaches you in a safe environment in your localities.

I Just Don't Understand Why We Can't Get Our Acts Together in This World! What is wrong?

Why can't we get along with each other so that we may live in peace and harmony? I am confused and dismayed about what has been happening in our young nation and around the world!
I am very sad indeed to hear of another escalation of major wars in my home country, the Republic of South Sudan. When are we going to realize true peace in our country?
How come we, human beings across the world, are constantly engaged in wars and destruction of innocent lives of our fellow human beings? Why don't we resolve our differences through dialogue and mutual understanding?
One may even ask, "Where is God in all these chaotic situations?" I am wondering what the Creator God who gave us this Earth, as our habitat, is saying about our human affairs?
Unless God is fed up with us and has decided not to bother Himself with our mental incapacities and decision-making deficiencies!
God gave all of us everything in this world, but we are destroying ourselves and the resources that God has given us free of charge. This is nothing less than madness and total lack of our mental capacity to differentiate between what is good and what is evil and the lack of sound judgment.
In fact, it is an insult to the Lord God, who made us in His own image and likeness; as we are told in the Scriptures!
Fellows, we have gone too far, and it is time to evaluate our actions and strive to work together for the betterment of our people now, as well as to create a peaceful world for our children and the next generations!
May Lord God have mercy on us and grant us wisdom for sound judgment and the spirit of understanding 🙏!
