Great crew of 14 volunteers today with 2 new folks. Downtown near the CWS looks amazing. Businesses have been stepping up, people have been using trash cans and recycle bins. We found 6 bags of litter/trash and another full 40 gal bag of recycling (can and plastic bottles) and a 1/2 bucket of glass! THANKS to all our fantastic volunteers, and to Bridget for helping to host the cleanup. ❤🌎‼ P.S. Those North Carolina fans are super nice!

❤🌎‼ If you are able to come to our Flash Trash cleanup for the CWS tomorrow (Saturday) morning, 9-10am, you may want to come a few-15 min. early. Due to the time change of the game tomorrow, (2pm) we may have a different parking situation. So far, we've used N.15th. Or ride a bike...there is a Heartland Bike Share station where we set up. Or, maybe think of transit.... Everything will work out, we just wanted to give you an alert!.

We have the most amazing volunteers...some show up even though they are bone-tired. Some show up due to diversion program needs, and others show up because the day and time work, or it is close by where they live. But one thing ALL of our volunteers have in common is that they are here to MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Much gratitude today to Dylan, Isabella, Barb, Howard, Brian, Donna, Sue, Ron, Marta, Douglas and Terry. We 'cleaned up' so to speak.❤🌎‼ (thank you to the person who donated the $20), and to others who said "Thank-you!"

Beautiful day for a GoogleServe volunteer morning at Hefflinger Park. Seven volunteers picked up 5 bags of litter/trash and some pieces of metal. Love the love from passers-by and love even more the young college student, Levi, who stopped by to let us know there is an amazing group of young people just like him who are interested in adopting Hefflinger Park, putting in a community garden and doing so much more. ❤🌎‼ This. Is. Where. It. Works. The park was already looking tended to but love the vision!
