Corporal Daegan Page believed in looking out for the person next to you, especially when the weight gets too heavy.

A veteran and father of five recently totaled his car after hitting a deer on the highway, instantly destroying his ability to commute to work and earn income. Things spiraled from there and it became a massive strain that completely emptied their remaining savings.

Our foundation stepped in to provide emergency transportation to a shelter, cover housing application fees, and provided funds to purchases an affordable used car.

Our fund exists to protect the absolute basics. A local veteran on a fixed income recently faced a nightmare when their apartment was broken into repeatedly, wiping out their food and savings. They were granted an emergency move to a safe building, but could not sign the lease until a past balance at the old place was cleared.

We paid that debt directly so they could escape to safety.

Memorial Day is a reminder that we are all part of one big team.

While inflation makes it hard for everyone to save, an old debt left in collections can completely trap a veteran. Recently, a local veteran earned a permanent housing voucher but was blocked from moving out of transitional housing due to a small past eviction debt.

Our foundation stepped in to pay that debt directly, putting a permanent roof over their head.
