My family and I have been visiting churches this semester and having the most wonderful experience. My son who is a senior is getting credit for this class and we're calling it "Religions of Greater Omaha."

I would like to schedule 2 tours at the Tri-Faith initiative's synagogue and mosque in the months of February and March. They would be on a Friday morning or Wed/Thurs afternoon. The suggested donation is $100 per tour. For more info, click through to their website below.

Is anyone interested in joining us and helping to cover the cost? This would be geared toward high schoolers. If so, let me know how many people and what days of the week you'd prefer.

Learn about each congregation and their involvement as part of the Tri-Faith Initiative.

Question: What is a song that just makes you feel happy? I'm looking for some music to add to the choir "musical pick me up" page. Feel free to include a link in the comments. Thank you!

A big shout out to everyone who joined the HAVEN Community Choir for caroling this evening! The singing was beautiful. The hot cocoa was warming. The friendship was enjoyed and so very needed. It was such a joyful experience to join together to sing songs about the birth of our Savior and bask in the true meaning of the season. Thank you! -Katie Burton

Our Community Choir will be caroling on Monday, December 21st from 6-7pm. We will be singing at Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion, by the big tree, just after the light show finishes for the hour. I've never been there but a light show and caroling sounds like it a great family home evening outing. :) Hope to see you there! Merry Christmas!

We will meet for caroling at 4pm this Saturday at Coyote Run Park located at 5316 S 189th St. Please meet in the parking lot. It is supposed to be quite cold so dress warm! Even if you have not officially joined the choir group and have not been receiving the emails, feel free to come sing with us. We are keeping this low-key. You may look over and print the music at https://choir.omahahaven.com/p/christmas-caroling-music-links.html or simply join us to sing the songs that you know!

Even if you don't want to sing, you are welcome to come and listen!

We are all adults here so each must decide their own level of comfort with regards to singing outside. Masks and distancing are the decision and responsibility of each individual and family.

Looking forward to singing with you!

Love this speech! Worth a read:

"Let me suggest we could fix education for so many children in America if we 'go Dutch.'"

"That means we embrace the family as the sovereign sphere that it is. A sphere that predates government altogether. It’s been said, after all, that the family is not only an institution; it’s also the foundation for all other institutions. The nuclear family cultivates art, athletics, business, education, faith, music, film—in a word, culture. And just as the family shapes its culture, it also shapes its government."

Thank you, Dr. Arnn, for that kind introduction, for your leadership here, and for your unparalleled commitment to the “diffusion of sound learning.”

Hey friends. As you may remember, we have been working on setting up a choir. We have launched the choir website and are ready for individuals to join. You can learn more about this choir and registration here at https://choir.omahahaven.com/

Our first event will be Christmas caroling. All ages are welcome to participate. While COVID is going on, we are providing means for learning parts at home rather than in-person practices. On the choir site, you will find links to warm-ups, song lists, and music. If you would like to participate, please go to https://choir.omahahaven.com/p/join-choir.html
Thank you!
