We echo this message from the sheriffs office. Ed Trevorrow has always provided a calm voice on the other end of the radio who took care of our needs and was always a step ahead. If something bad was happening, Ed was one of those you wanted as your dispatcher. Many of our firefighters may never have known who Ed was, but they knew his voice on the radio. We are grateful for his years of service and wish him the very best in retirement. KQT456 Ed Trevorrow
After 31.5 years of dedicated service, Ed Trevorrow recently worked his final full-time shift as a dispatcher with Thurston 911. Today, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office pauses to recognize and thank a man who has quietly—but profoundly—shaped public safety in our community for more than three decades.
For generations of deputies, Ed was the calm, steady voice behind the radio—the one who brought clarity and professionalism to moments of chaos. With an unmatched knowledge of every square inch of Thurston County, Ed helped guide law enforcement safely and confidently to those who needed help most. His voice carried reassurance, experience, and trust when it mattered most.
Beyond the radio, Ed was a wealth of knowledge, a source of humor during long and difficult shifts, and an outstanding friend to so many. He mentored, supported, and uplifted those around him, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege to work alongside him.
Ed’s impact cannot be measured in years alone, but in the countless calls answered, lives touched, and careers shaped along the way. While his radio may be quiet now, his legacy will continue to echo through the halls of public safety in Thurston County.
Thank you, Ed, for your service, your dedication, and your friendship. We wish you nothing but the very best in this next chapter—you’ve more than earned it.
