For 2025, Friends of Willie and Joe is partnered with Wreaths Across America. Wreaths Across America is a national program with the goal of placing a holiday wreath on the gravesite of every veteran. A wreath costs $17 and a portion is returned to FOWJ as a fund raiser.
To sponsor a wreath, visit https://wreathsacrossamerica.org/WA0247P. Click the red SPONSER WREATHS button and follow the directions. Some cemeteries such as Tahoma National Cemetery allow Grave Specific donations. A Grave specific donation allows a wreath to get placed on a named veterans grave. If you have a volunteer place the wreath, you will need to know the grave location. You can visit https://www.cem.va.gov/nationwide-gravesite-locator/ to look up the location. Or try https://www.findagrave.com/.
Wreath that are not grave specific will be placed with a random veteran.
Currently, FOWJ is associated with Tahoma National Cemetery. If you want to have a wreath at a different cemetery, let us know and we can get it added. Final day for a 2025 donation is 11/27/25.
