Thank you Grace Church Bainbridge Island for hosting last Saturday's Solarize Bainbridge educational workshop! We had a wonderful turnout of people curious to learn more about how solar can help reduce their rising cost of electricity and why the city-sponsored Solarize program is the best way to go solar.

Did you know that Grace Church is also going solar?? We recently worked with them to secure funding from the Department of Commerce for a solar array on their roof next year! A shiny addition to a beautiful sanctuary! ๐ŸŒž

It can be a struggle making sense of the world right now. War in the Middle East and Ukraine; crazy weather; partisan politics; climbing household costs; the threat of AI. The list goes on and on.

Over time the buildup of pollen and other grime starts to affect how productive solar panels can be. Cleaning them every few years minimizes this impact and ensures peak energy production.

What an incredible turnout for our second Solarize Bainbridge Island workshop last night! Over 70 Bainbridge Island residents attended to learn more about how solar works, why it can protect you from increasing energy costs, and why the Solarize program can support first time solar buyers. Thanks so much to the city of Bainbridge Island, The Bainbridge Island Solar Collective, and our installer partners at Blossom and Northwest Electric & Solar! ๐ŸŒžโšก๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ˜Ž

Did you know that the San Juan islands are in the Olympic mountain rain shadow? They get almost half as much rainfall as Seattle!

We're so happy for the San Juan Community Home Trust and the residents of the Holliwalk neighborhood in Friday Harbor who recently celebrated the completion of solar installations across the roofs of their eight housing units. The installation was completed by and looks amazing!

The project was supported by the Washington Department of Commerce's energy program via the Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washingtonโ€™s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov.

Our team loves working with affordable housing providers to install clean energy!
