🎉 Congratulations to Northwest Maritime Center! ⚓

We’re excited to congratulate Northwest Maritime Center in Port Townsend, WA on being designated a 2026 Center of Excellence (CoE) by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD)!

MARAD designated 16 maritime training institutions nationwide as 2026 Centers of Excellence, expanding the network that trains approximately 58,000 mariners, apprentices, and students each year.

These institutions play a critical role in preparing the next generation of maritime professionals for essential careers at sea and on shore—strengthening the workforce that keeps our waterways, ports, and maritime industries moving.

We’re proud to see a West Coast maritime organization recognized for its contribution to maritime education and workforce development. Congratulations, Northwest Maritime Center, on this well-deserved recognition! 👏⚓
