The Nicholas Maurice Woods & Juneteenth Foundation is going Back To The Wood for this year's 6th Annual Nick Woods/Juneteenth Hoops Classic...
First, thank you to all of the supporters, sponsors and participants in our past years... You have made this weekend one of great significance, remembrance and LOVE since 2002!!! As many of you know, Nick Woods was more than a phenomenal athlete and hardwood/blacktop legend in the South Puget Sound - he was a son, a brother, boyfriend, a TREMENDOUS sportsman, a RESPECTED competitor and an irreplaceable FRIEND. Couple with our national celebration of Juneteenth (Study and learn about the TRUE day of Freedom of Justice in USA history), we once again convene at the place of the Hoops Classic;s birth on JUNE 18, 2016 - Wonderwood Park in the heart of Lacey, Washington.
Please join us at our annual community dinner at River Ridge High School (Lacey, Washington) on Friday June 17th, followed by one of the Puget Sound's most competitive and FUN tournaments on Saturday June 18 at Wonderwood Park and the after party hosted by Luvva J UltraMega and frends at Sampan Restaurant & Grill the evening of the tournament.
It's another full weekend of Fun, Unity, Celebration, Athletics, Sportsmanship, Freedom, Each other and NICK! More details are forthcoming... For registration, contact this page, Jose Gutierrez, Dr. Raphael X. Moffett and/or Gameday Commissioner, Cecil Daniels. The 25360.
