Spay Neuter All Pets (SNAP)

SNAP seeks to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in Thurston County, Washington through financial assistance for spay or neuter surgery.

SNAP provides financial assistance to pet owners so their dogs or cats can be spayed or neutered. The goal of SNAP is to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in Thurston County so fewer are abandoned, born feral, or surrendered to rescues or shelters.

Big thank you to Thurston County Animal Services, Diane Jacob of Cameron Gardens, The Briggs Nursery, and all the volunteers and customers who worked or patronized the SNAP plant sale on May 27th! It was a fun and successful fundraiser.

May 27th is the SNAP plant sale, 9:00 to 2:00! It's in the front parking lot of Animal Services, 3120 Martin Way E. Every penny we make at the sale goes to help pay for spay and neuter surgery for cats and dogs in Thurston County.

The Petco Foundation has generously provided a grant to SNAP so it can continue its assistance to pet owners who need to get their cats and dogs fixed. Thank you to the Petco Foundation!

SNAP is sponsoring another FREE spay or neuter event for CATS at the Yelm Veterinary Clinic. The two day event will happen on February 23rd and 24th. Call the clinic for your appointment : 360-458-7707.

Help the Thurston County Animal Shelter tomorrow and Sunday by taking your pet to have pictures with Santa!
Tomorrow, Saturday, it's 3 o'clock to 7. And Sunday it's 10 to 2. Cookies and a wonderful Santa will be there!

There will be many SNAP vouchers available at Animal Services starting on the first working day of July. It's a great time to get your cats and dogs fixed. Summertime is often called "kitten season"!

A terrific way to show you care about reducing the number of unwanted cats and dogs through spay and neuter is to purchase a specialty Washington license plate for your vehicle called 'We Love Our Pets'. Funds generated from the sale of license plates go to spaying and neutering dogs and cats! Here's the link:
